Ajax Cape Town have been dealt yet another injury blow after new signing, Franklin Cale, was ruled out for the remainder of 2013.
The Urban Warriors signed Cale from SuperSport United earlier this year, hoping that his addition could help them improve on last season's disappointing performance in the PSL.
However, the 30-year-old has been struggling with a persistent knee injury and has now undergone minor surgery on it, ruling him out until at least 2014.
A statement on the club's website explained, "Cale has been struggling with a persistent knee problem that has delayed his sustained presence in the Ajax starting line-up since returning from SuperSport United. He played against his former club in the Telkom Knockout recently, however the injury flared-up again after the game."

Cale now joins Travis Graham, Toriq Losper, Koen van de Laak, Brandon Petersen and Ndumiso Vezi on the sidelines for the club, adding to Muhsin Ertugral's selection headache.
