Date: 11 February 2025

Venue: Mbombela Stadium

Sundowns extended their winning streak in the league to ten matches after thrashing Orlando Pirates 4-1 on Saturday courtesy of a brace by Lucas Ribeiro Costa and other goals from Grant Kekana and Teboho Mokoena.

The Brazilians stretched their lead over Pirates at the top of the standings to nine points and they could go 12 points clear if they win.

Galaxy, meanwhile, are unbeaten in the league since Adnan Beganovic took over from Sead Ramovic, with a run of ten games under the Bosnia-Herzegovina coach and 11 overall, following their 1-0 win over Chippa United on Saturday.

The Rockets are placed seventh in the standings with 22 points from 16 matches.

Masandawana took four points from the fixture last season, as they won 3-0 in Tshwane, with Peter Shalulile scoring a brace and the other goal scored by Thembinkosi Lorch.

Galaxy almost pulled off a shock win in the return after Puso Dithejane broke the deadlock late in the game but Shalulile rescued a 1-1 draw with the equaliser in the dying minutes.
