The Burkina Faso international striker penned a three-year deal with the Port Elizabeth outfit, according to the club's official.
While the player has been training with Bidvest Wits until this week, Chippa say they are working on acquiring his work permit.
"He's got a contract with the club. He signed a three-year contract. But we have since heard that he has been training with Wits. There have been other issues that we have been trying to resolve for him.
"But from the onset, when he came to the country, he came to us. He signed a contract. We heard that he was training with Wits.
"But he has gone back to Burkina Faso. We are trying to settle everything that will make him able to play in South Africa.
"Obviously, every contract of a foreigner is subject to availability of a work permit. So if we can sort that out he will be coming," said Mzinzi.
