Bafana Bafana striker Bernard Parker walked away with the top goalscorer award at the 2014 African Nations Championship won by Libya.
Libya defeated Ghana in the final on penalties to win the tournament, whilst earlier in the day Nigeria grabbed the bronze medal with a 1-0 win against ten men Zimbabwe.
Despite not reaching the knockout stages, Parker scored four goals in South Africa’s three matches, getting on the scoresheet twice against Mozambique, and getting one apiece against Mali and Nigeria.
Ejike Uzoedzi, the Nigerian number seven was a popular choice as Player of the Tournament. The man who scored a brace against South Africa, also scored the stoppage time goal that saw Nigeria draw level against Morocco and force extra-time. Nigeria went on to win that game.
The Fair Play Award was won by Nigeria.
