Following the shocking statement made by FC Barcelona manager Quique Setien about Antoine Griezmann recently, the Frenchman's family has responded in defence of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Things appear to be coming to a head in Spain regarding to Griezmann's relationship with management at the Catalan club, especially after his one-minute cameo in their 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
After the game, Setien insisted he had no reason to apologise to the 29-year-old, and then surprised many when he admitted that he cannot bring Griezmann on without "destabilising" his side.
During the match, the ex-Atleti star's brother Theo tweeted his feelings about the situation, while their father Alain took to Instagram to imply that Setien is not doing enough at the Blaugrana.
"In order to apologise, you first need the keys of the lorry and that is not the case, because he is simply a passenger," he wrote on the social media platform, according to ESPN.
It is understood that Griezmann's brother and dad later removed their online comments, perhaps fearing the consequences Antoine could face at Barca as a result.
The forward has played just 86 minutes in the club's past four LaLiga matches, and has contributed to just one league goal in his past 15 appearances.
