Teams: Maritzburg United v Stellenbosch
Date: 28 February 2020
Venue: Harry Gwala Stadium
Maritzburg United have fourth sport in their sights when they host Stellenbosch FC in the return of the Absa Premiership on Friday evening at Harry Gwala Stadium.
The Team of Choice's road in the Nedbank Cup came to an end last weekend in the last 16 after going down 3-2 to Bloemfontein Celtic.
However, Eric Tinkler's charges have been in good form in the league, having won back-to-back games over Bidvest Wits and Kaizer Chiefs before the cup defeat which has moved the side up to sixth.
Meanwhile, Stellies have not played a competitive match in two weeks after being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the first round by Maritzburg on penalties while the side's last outing was a narrow 1-0 win over Matsatsantsa exactly a fortnight ago in the league.
The win over SuperSport took Steve Barker's troops up to ninth on the log, three points adrift of a top- eight spot.
The reverse fixture between the sides ended in a goalless draw in the early stages of the season in August 2019 at Athlone Stadium, while Stellies will be looking to get revenge for the Nedbank Cup exit.
