Roses In Crisis!

Chaos has enveloped National First Division strugglers Roses United with their former owner Samuel “Max” Tshabalala claiming he wants the team back because current chairman Sinky Mnisi has allegedly not paid him.

In fact, according to Tshabalala, who had financial problems during late last season when he decided to dispose of his asset, Mnisi has not paid a single cent of the R8-million owing.

“Sinky hasn’t paid me a cent, he’s in breach and that’s it,” Tshabalala told Soccer-Laduma. “R4-million was due at the end of December, the other money had to be paid by end of March. I’ll have to take it back, there’s no other way as I don’t want to lose the NFD status.

“My lawyer wrote him a letter to say he must pay up but he never responded so we wrote him a letter of cancelation. The PSL wants to see us as there’s a big problem with the players so on Monday we’re having a meeting.”

For months Roses players have been complaining about no salaries while a number of parents continue to contact Soccer-Laduma for help.

“Players have been phoning me to ask what’s happening, actually I’m made to believe that they’re being threatened. What he’s doing to people is not right. I did have my financial problems but now everything is fine with my company,” Tshabalala concluded.

Tomorrow’s match between Roses United and Black Leopards has been postponed.
