Reports: Zambian Star Pens Polokwane Deal

According to reports in Zambia, Zanaco midfielder Salulani Phiri has put pen to paper on a deal with Absa Premiership side Polokwane City.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder had been crucial for Zanaco as they went in search of securing the FAZ Super League title this year, but a three-month injury lay-off meant that he missed a large chunk of the second half of the season.

Now, after returning to help Zanaco achieve their ambitions of winning the league, Phiri looks to be on the verge of taking the next step in his career by transferring to South Africa's top flight to help City keep up their impressive current form.

According to The Post, Phiri has penned a three-year pre-contract with Polokwane, and will join them in the new year before the second half of the season gets under way.

The Siya crew will look into Phiri's situation and try to gain confirmation of the player's future as soon as possible.
