Crystal Palace have explained to the Siya crew that South African midfielder, Kagisho Dikgacoi, has not been released by the club, and that contract talks are ongoing.
The 29-year-old’s name was on a list of Crystal Palace players submitted to the Premier League recently that would be available on a free transfer, though the club have explained that his name is on the list simply because his contract expires next month.
‘KG’ was on the list alongside the likes of Marouane Chamakh and goalkeeper, Julian Speroni, though it seems that their futures are far from decided just yet.
The crew spoke to Terry Byfield, Palace’s Communications manager, who said that the midfielder has certainly not been released. He said, “He’s on a list of players who will see their contracts expire soon, but there are no confirmed details as to his future just yet, in all likelihood contract talks are ongoing.”
Soccer Laduma will continue to monitor Dikgacoi’s situation in England as his contract talks come to a head.
