Bafana began their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign with a point, having played out a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso.
However, Mashaba insists nothing less than a victory will suffice against the Lions of Teranga.
"We know the importance of this game just like any other game we play. The only result we want is a win," Mashaba told journalists.
"For us to stand the chance to progress to the finals is to win games no matter which team we are facing.
"If we want to be the best we have to play and beat the best and that's what we want to do today.
