Komphela: Swallows' New Signings Are Not Delinquents

Many critics have questioned the attitude of certain players Moroka Swallows have signed in this transfer window.

As a result, The Birds head coach Steve Komphela has come out and defended them.

Komphela was answering a question from the Siya crew during the MTN8 Launch at SuperSport Studios in Randburg.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has instead praised his new signings, labelling them geniuses and that he'd love to work with 'millions' of these types of 'super stars'.

"Geniuses are like that. They act out of the normal," said Komphela to the Siya crew and other media present.

"If you are in a class and you are doing a speed test. A 10 point test. By the time you give the paper to the first candidate and that candidate let's say he is the genius, when you reach the last student at the end, the genius is done. He is bored."

"What do you do? They become delinquent? They are not delinquents they are geniuses. So, when you have the quality of these players, you realise what quality they have and use it accordingly," said Komphela.

"It's unquestionable. It's impeccable. It's not easy to deal with super stars as they are geniuses.

"You have to be mature enough not to be intimidated by them. Listen, I appreciate every second with them and if you can see how we interact at the moment outside the field, the maturity is excellent.

"How they say they are not delinquents, I want a million of them. Bring a million of those. I love them. I love to work with geniuses," Komphela concluded.
