Let's take a closer look...

South Africa's elite football agent Rob Moore has shared his view on how thinks Kaizer Chiefs should have handled their coaching situation.

Moore feels that it was clear around the March/April period that Arthur Zwane wasn't going to give Chiefs what they'd hoped and says the Soweto giants should have started the process to find a new coach around then.

Amakhosi were in negotiations to bring in former Young Africans boss Nasreddine Nabi before talks collapsed, resulting in Chiefs opting for a technical reshuffle, where they named Molefi Ntseki as head and demoted Zwane to assistant coach alongside Sheppard.

Moore also commented on Chiefs' chances for next season, and he doesn't tip them to finish above Sundowns, SuperSport and Pirates.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Moore: Chiefs Should've Selected A Coach Earlier" story:

"Although I don't think Chiefs will perform better, they have a great possibility to surprise us. Right now, nobody is giving them a chance, which I think is good for them.

"Even if they don't win the league, I still foresee them competing in one or two cup finals," says Themba-lamahumusha.

"Kaizer Chiefs is winning the league next season, watch this space," says lwazihnzimande.

"So gradually Sundowns is fast becoming a yardstick of South African Soccer," says makhause(2).

"Moore thought Chiefs is like Bafana Bafana, where he is in charge. He has been recommending coaches to SAFA, players in his stable are always made captain of Bafana Bafana.

"I'm a Pirates supporter but I'm happy the way they appointed Ntseki because he will have a pre-season with the team. That's what matters," says oupa.phiri27.

"We were saying the Bucs coach is a plumber but look at the results, who is laughing now?? We need to give players or coaches enough time before we can judge them fairly. Komphela left Downs to be a head coach to prove himself again." says pholasti.

"Honest truth, Chiefs is becoming like Chippa. Always changing coaches and going for the average. They are on a decline seriously," says sbusisogumede16.

"Moore you wanted Benni to coach Chiefs. The problem is that everyone has their preference and opinion when it comes to Chiefs. With all respect, agents must focus on the players they manage. Chiefs has management to handle their problems," says pholasti.

Former Orlando Pirates defender and 1995 CAF Champions League winning captain Edward "Magents" Motale says Pirates have the best squad to compete in Africa next season.

Motale feels that the Buccaneers can compete with any team on the continent with their current squad, praising how they concluded the 2022/23 season with a cup double.

The Bucs legend also feels the club's pre-season tour to Spain is a "good move" and will give them insight on how other countries run their squads.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Magents: Pirates Are The Best In Africa" story:

"I agree with 'Magents' Orlando Pirates have the right flavor, the right ingredience to go all the way to adding a second star on top of that famous logo, especially if they stay focused and hungry and make sure they win all their games at home, and be able to handle hostility beyond the borders," says The Ghost.

"The team will be balanced if we can add Aubaas and that left-back from Chippa United, then we are done. Finish them all Buccaneers," says Bucs365.

"Enough said Magents," says @ThizaK.

"This one is abusing weed from his playing days," says Shikabala.
