Supporters Club is saddened by the passing of one of its members, Lane Gqibityala.
Lane was a prominent follower of the beautiful game, and a loyal supporter of Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs. The untimely passing of the young and vibrant man has robbed Supporters Club of one of its committed members and servants of the game that we all love, and Lane will be dearly missed.
Supporters Club's East London branch will hold a memorial service for the fallen supporter on Wednesday 25 July. His funeral will take place on 28 July in his hometown of Kwasobelitha, Ncerha location.
As the saying goes, "when a footballer or supporter dies, the beautiful game loses a piece of itself". That is exactly how we feel about the loss of our brother in the beautiful and most loved sport.
Supporters Club would like to express its heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Lane. Your loss is our loss. Rest in peace, Lane.
