Following Kaizer Chiefs' loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday afternoon, which saw them drop two down positions on the log, supporters have continued to voice their opinions.
A Supporters Club member, and Amakhosi supporter, with the username khosibybirth548 shared his thoughts with fellow SC members, and he believes that head coach Steve Komphela got his tactics wrong.
"Komphela doesn't understand football. Well, first half we had Bucs at our mercy. The only downfall being the lack of attacking options due to the lack of a natural mobile striker to supplement Castro and lack of adequate attacking options from the midfield with Stash (Ntshangase) on the bench because the coach doesn't believe that the latter can play with Shabba, yet he can pair Shabba with Ekstein. In the second half, again, Bucs changed tactics because they have a clever coach.
They overloaded the midfield and started to dominate. Now here, instead of tweaking, Steve introduces an obviously ineffective Paez for another ineffective player, which meant that Bucs would continue with their business. Then Ngezana goes off, Katsande is shifted further back, plus Meyiwa goes off, opening bigger gaps that allow Pirates to attack even more on transition. Then we were compromised both in defence and attack and in the middle. Only the hearts carried the boys to keep fighting because the ship is without a captain. In short, we were tactically compromised by Mr English.
I believe Zuma should start with Castro. Stash should play his No. 10 role behind the strikers. Shabba must start on the wing. He can track back when necessary. Let's pray for Mahlasela to recover so he can beef up the attack on the right. Zulu must go to the stands. Mr English must go. And congratulations to Bucs on their victory." – khosibybirth548
