We continue to choose the best writers in Get Published, and give them a little football examination to answer. This week, we chose TebzZA, who has had some really thought-provoking things to say. Today's question is: What do you think of coach Shakes Mashaba's attitude? He has had a number of fights with players who have since withdrawn from the squad. Do you think his attitude is killing us, or is that what we need from a head coach – the kind of guy who says "my way or the highway"?
"What I am trying to get people to understand is that no man is without his faults, and taking a side between the coach and the players will be unfair since we are not privileged to get all the behind-the-scene information," he said.
"What I know is sometimes people disagree and it does not make either of them wrong, it just means they see things differently.
"I do, however, think that, although coach Mashaba should manage and communicate more effectively with the players, I believe the players disrespected him, other players and the country; in terms of Erasmus and Mokotjo.
"When a player says he should be played, that effectively means the one the coach selected does not do his duty.
"You see, irrespective of how you perform at club level, you cannot let your ego control your thoughts and I think these two may have been unprofessional, although I agree that they would have made a huge difference to the team.
"All this is amplified because of our probable failure to qualify for Afcon. Had we qualified, all this wouldn't be an issue.
"For now, Bra Shakes is a coach and all the players have to abide by his rules, whether they agree or not."
