'If Komphela Can Resign Now, Chiefs Can Have Something At The End Of The Season'

'If Komphela Can Resign Now, Chiefs Can Have Something At The End Of The Season'

With many calling for his exit from Naturena, Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has had his say.

"Jola" has been in charge of the Glamour Boys for three seasons, and to date, he has not managed to bring any major silverware to the Village. Frustrated Amakhosi faithfuls have been calling for his sacking for quite some time now as a result.

When asked recently if the calls for his exit from Amakhosi bother him, Komphela answered that he would have to be realistic as a professional and should never be in denial under any circumstances.

Supporters Club members have reacted to Komphela's statement, with some still hopeful that, should the Kroonstad-born coach leave Naturena before the season closes, silverware for Amakhosi could be still be a possibility.

"What will Chiefs benefit in keeping Steve (Komphela)? Nothing!" – SeaGate4

"We are being taken for a ride. We are clearly being disrespected by this coach and the management. Can we just boycott one soccer match as a demonstration that we want Komphela gone?" – khosibybirth548

"If Komphela can resign or be fired now, I am telling you, Chiefs can have something at the end of the season. What can stop the boys from winning all the remaining games as there are no tough matches left? Even the Nedbank Cup can go to Naturena. Komphela is an unlucky coach, everyone see that." – Mcolisi Mr Nice Dlamini

"Jola (Komphela) must fall! Enough is enough! Since he joined our beloved Kaizer Chiefs, we've been Pirates' daily bread. Jola must fall!" – GeeMan

Do you think Chiefs can still finish the season with some silverware?
