Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela is yet to present a trophy since joining the Naturena team in 2015.
The Nedbank Cup could be his last chance as the Soweto giants gear up for the semi-finals, in which they will take on Free State Stars on Saturday evening. Speaking ahead of the encounter during a media briefing, "Jola" said: "South Africans are not a patient nation."
Some believe the Kroonstad-born coach was referring to the ongoing cries from many of the Amakhosi faithful who have been calling for his sacking following his almost three-year stay at The Village with no silverware.
Supporters Club member dark.city seemingly agrees with Komphela, and raised concerns regarding those who want Jola out of Phefeni.
dark.city: "I hear and agree with you, my coach. As I mentioned before, some of us can see what you are doing or did at our team. My main questions are: Since they want you to leave, who do they think should take over from you? How sure are they that a new coach will deliver? And how will they react if the new coach doesn't deliver in the first two months (after six-eight games)? Are they going to throw missiles at him and the players again? What about management? Players?
"You see, what I know is that one should not worry about what they could have done, he/she should worry about what they are doing and try to improve on that."
Would you say this supporter has a point?
