Jeremy Brockie, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns from crosstown rivals SuperSport United in January, has hit back at critics regarding his stay at Chloorkop so far.
The New Zealander is yet to register his first goal in the colours of Masandawana since his arrival at the club, and many have begun questioning his scoring capabilities. Although the striker has not featured regularly, he has taken to Twitter to ensure the football fraternity that he is very much happy at Chloorkop under coach Pitso Mosimane's guidance.
Supporters Club members have reacted to Brockie's statement:
"His time will come, he just needs to adjust to their style of play." – Mashia1950
"Sundowns are winning, that is why Brockie is happy. He's not under pressure at all." – *indidane* does NOT Recognise Star-less Cows
"All still waiting for the goal and it will come before the end of this season." – MDANANA
"Sundowns are not struggling to score goals. Shonga, Mulenga, and Castro may have scored for their respective teams but the goals they scored didn't help their teams to achieve anything." – dellah
"People must stop this propaganda of theirs against mighty Downs. I have said and am still saying: Brockie has a bigger role to play at Downs." – setlaboswana
"He'll score when it matters most, in the CCL final, Nedbank final or on the weekend to end the little bit of hope that's left in Bucs' hearts." – So-Mathabo-KBY
Would you say Brockie is being put under pressure by supporters?
