Argentine midfielder Junior Mendieta has sent a farewell message to Stellenbosch FC ahead of his new move.
The 30-year-old is set to join DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

Mendieta joined Stellenbosch in 2021 and has racked up 79 appearances while also scoring 15 times during the last two seasons.

"I am respectfully addressing you to thank you for the opportunity and the love that you have given me all these years," the Argentine wrote on social media.
"I think I have done my job very well and I have always given my best and that leaves me at ease. I will always carry Stellenbosch in my heart and be grateful for all the love and affection they gave me and my family.
