Stellenbosch and Sekhukhune United will be fighting for a spot in the Nedbank Cup final for the first time in their history when they clash in the semi-finals on Sunday evening.

Stellies booked their spot in the semi-finals for the first time after dumping out defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in mid-April thanks to a brace by Iqraam Rayners.

The Cape Winelands side, who have scored 11 goals in the tournament, were last in action when they held SuperSport United to a goalless draw on Tuesday.

Sekhukhune, similarly, also qualified for the semi-finals for the first time after edging Chippa United 2-1 courtesy of goals by Elias Mokwana and Chibuike Ohizu.

Babina Noko have scored ten goals in the competition and were last in action on Wednesday after playing to a 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy.

Sekhukhune took four points off Stellenbosch in the sides' two meetings in the league, after they won the last encounter 1-0 in January with Ohizu netting the goal.

The winner between the sides will face Orlando Pirates in the final at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 27 May.
