Holders Orlando Pirates will be gunning for a spot in the MTN8 final when they host Stellenbosch in the semi-final second leg on Sunday afternoon.

Pirates gained an advantage of away goals and a lead in the first-leg after beating Stellies 2-1, with Zakhele Lepasa and Deon Hotto scoring.

However, the Buccaneers are smarting from two consecutive defeats after a 1-0 loss to Jwaneng Galaxy in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round first-leg was followed by a loss by the same scoreline to Mamelodi Sundowns in the league on Wednesday.

Stellenbosch, meanwhile, have played two league games since their loss to Pirates, where they played to a goalless draw against Golden Arrows and were beaten 2-0 by Moroka Swallows on Tuesday, which was their fourth defeat in five games in all competitions.

The Cape Winelands outfit will be without defender Ismail Toure due to suspension.

The winner between the sides on aggregate will face Sundowns in the final after they beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 on aggregate on Saturday in the other semi-final.
