In-form Orlando Pirates will have a chance to regain their advantage in the race for second spot in the DStv Premiership when they travel to TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon.

DStv Premiership

Teams: TS Galaxy v Orlando Pirates

Date: 30 April 2023

Venue: Mbombela Stadium

Time: 15h00

Pirates are in their best form of the league season after they extended their winning streak to five matches with a 2-1 win over Cape Town City courtesy of goals from behind by Terrence Dzvukamanja and Monnapule Saleng last weekend.

The Buccaneers are lying third on the log, just a point behind second-placed SuperSport United and a victory with their game in hand could move them two points clear and five points clear of fourth-placed Kaizer Chiefs with three games remaining.

Galaxy, meanwhile, have slipped to the danger of relegation after their 1-1 draw with Royal AM extended their winless run to three matches last weekend.

The Rockets have fallen down to 12th on the table, five points above the relegation zone and will be desperate to steer out of danger. At the same time, a win for Galaxy will take them back into the top eight.

The Soweto giants will also be chasing a league double over the Rockets after securing 2-0 win thanks to an own goal by Given Msimango and Zakhele Lepasa, who has since been loaned to SuperSport United.

Here's how they line up:
