DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns still have a couple records in their sight when they take on Swallows FC on Sunday afternoon.

DStv Premiership

Teams: Swallows v Mamelodi Sundowns

Date: 09 April 2023

Venue: Dobsonville Stadium

Time: 15h30

Sundowns were crowned champions for the sixth consecutive season with seven matches to spare but were held to a goalless draw by Cape Town City on Tuesday, who were the first team to give them the guard of honour.

The draw meant the Brazilians could no longer reach the 80-point mark should they win all their remaining matches.

The Tshwane giants are currently on 60 points, 17 points clear at the top of the table and are chasing their own record tally of 71 points in a PSL era, set in the 2015/16 season.

Swallows, meanwhile, boosted their chances of surviving relegation after edging AmaZulu 1-0, which was only their second win in five matches.

The Birds find themselves 13th on the table, just three points above the relegation zone and could move further away from the drop zone with a win this afternonon.

Sundowns will also be looking to complete a league double over Swallows after beating them 2-0 in the reverse fixture courtesy of goals by Neo Maema and Themba Zwane.

Here's how they line up:
