SuperSport United entertain a confident Stellenbosch FC side, as they look to boost their continental aspirations on Tuesday evening.

DStv Premiership

Teams: SuperSport United v Stellenbosch FC

Date: 02 May 2023

Venue: TUT Stadium

Time: 19h30

SuperSport kept their chances of finishing second alive after they extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 2-1 win over AmaZulu just over a week ago, thanks to goals by Thapelo Maseko and Gamphani Lungu.

SuperSport currently find themselves third on the table, two points behind second-placed Pirates with three games to go.

As for Stellenbosch, they revived their top eight ambitions with back-to-back victories, where they scored eight goals, in a 3-0 win over Swallows and hammered Golden Arrows 5-2 on Saturday, courtesy of a brace by Iqraam Rayners and Junior Mendieta and another goal scored by Olwethu Makhanya.

The Cape Winelands outfit climbed up to sixth on the standings, just three points clear of the nearest challengers just outside the top half of the log.

Stellies will be without Rayners as he is barred from facing SuperSport from their transfer agreement.

Matsatsantsa are chasing a league double over Stellies after beating them 2-0 in October last year, thanks to goals by Jamie Webber and Bradley Grobler.
