SuperSport are still smarting from a big loss in the Carling Knockout last 16 after a 4-1 drubbing by Polokwane City on Sunday.

Matsatsantsa, however, have maintained a good position on the log after beating Cape Town Spurs 2-1 before the FIFA break.

Gavin Hunt's charges are lying third on the log with 16 points and could go up to second and within five points of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns if they win.

Royal AM, meanwhile, were also dumped out of the Carling Knockout in the first round after a narrow 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

Thwihli Thwahla lost their third game in a row across the two competitions, after also losing against Babina Noko and Polokwane City in the league before the FIFA break, all by a 1-0 scoreline.

John Maduka's troops dropped down to 14th on the log with eight points from as many matches.
