Stellenbosch and Golden Arrows will be fighting to stay in the top eight when they clash in the DStv Premiership on Saturday evening.

Stellenbosch ended their two-game losing streak in the league after thrashing Swallows 3-0 last weekend, with Iqraam Rayners netting a brace and another goal scored by Ibraheem Jabaar.

Stellies, who are in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, are lying seventh on the table and will want to cement their spot that gives entry to the lucrative MTN8 tournament for next season, with four games to go.

Similarly, Arrows are bidding to end their season in the top half of the standings and remained on track after they extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 1-1 draw against champions Mamelodi Sundowns just over two weeks ago.

Abafana Bes'thende are occupying the last spot in the top eight, with the same number of points as Stellenbosch.

The sides cancelled each other out in the first round with a 1-1 draw after Thabani Zuke scored deep in stoppage time for Arrows to deny the Cape Winelands side the three points following their first-half opener by Jayden Adams.
