Stellenbosch will be looking to gain momentum in pursuit of a top eight finish in the DStv Premiership when they host AmaZulu on Friday evening.

Teams: Stellenbosch v AmaZulu

Date: 17 March 2023

Venue: Danie Craven Stadium

Time: 19h30

Stellenbosch are enjoying their best form of the season as they won their fifth game in six matches in all competitions after hammering TS Galaxy 6-3 in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 last weekend.

The Cape Winelands side's winning streak was only blemished by a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in the league, which ended a longer, 15-game winning run of the champions.

As a result of their recent form, Steve Barker's charges find themselves sitting tenth on the table and a win will take them into the top eight.

AmaZulu, meanwhile, will be looking to respond after they were eliminated by ABC Motsepe League side Dondol Stars in the Nedbank Cup last 16 on penalties.

Usuthu's last league outing was a 2-0 win over Chippa United, as they moved up to eighth on the log.

The KwaZulu-Natal side narrowly won the first round clash 1-0 back in October last year on home soil.

Here's how they line up:

Stellenbosch: 17. Stephens, 35. Makhanya, 22. Sibande, 7. Van Rooyen, 6. Mthethwa, 10. Mendieta, 5. Sibiya, 27. Jabaar, 18. De Jong, 34. Titus, 9. Rayners
