Cape Town City and Sekhukhune United will be fighting to stay in the top eight in the DStv Premiership when they lock horns on Saturday evening at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Citizens avoided a third straight defeat after they turned things around with a 2-0 win over Swallows last weekend.

Eric Tinkler's charges, who were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Royal AM on penalties a week prior, moved up to eighth on the table, just two points behind fifth-placed Kaizer Chiefs.

Sekhukhune, similarly, were also coming off a back of two consecutive defeats before they bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Richards Bay just over a week ago, after they progressed in the Nedbank Cup with a 6-0 drubbing of amateur side Liver Brothers.

Brandon Truter's men climbed up to sixth on the standings, just a point behind Chiefs and a point ahead of City.

The sides could not be separated in the first round meeting after playing to a goalless draw in September last year in Cape Town.
