Richards Bay will have a chance to consolidate second spot on the DStv Premiership table when they host AmaZulu on Sunday afternoon.

DStv Premiership Report:

Teams: Richards Bay v AmaZulu FC

Date: 29 January 2023

Venue: King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium

Time: 15h30

Richards Bay have been hard to beat this season, with only one loss in their last 12 matches coming against reigning champions and log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Natal Rich Boyz held onto second spot on the table after playing to 1-1 draw against SuperSport United last weekend and third-placed Matsatsantsa missed the chance to leapfrog them on Saturday.

For the record, Richards Bay are 22 points behind Sundowns with three games in hand and could pull four points clear of SuperSport if they win.

AmaZulu, meanwhile, could not maintain their scoring rate after thrashing Kaizer Chiefs 4-0, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Marumo Gallants last weekend.

Romain Folz's charges are lying eighth on the table and will be looking to remain in the top eight.

Richards will be bidding to complete a league double over their provincial rivals after edging them 1-0 in the reverse.

Here's how they line up:
