Orlando Pirates will be aiming to hand Mamelodi Sundowns their first defeat of the DStv Premiership season on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilians are the only side yet to taste defeat or drop points, having started the season with six wins from their opening six matches.

Rulani Mokwena's charges were in fine form over the week after defeating Burundi side 4-0 Bumamuru in their CAF Champions League on Friday evening.

The Buccaneers were also involved in Champions League duty this weekend, as they went down 1-0 to Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy.

Coach Jose Riveiro did make a few changes for Sunday's encounter and the regulars are expected to return for this evening's clash.

Prior to the international, Pirates secured a 2-0 win over Cape Town City while Sundowns drew 1-1 with Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final.

Sundowns did the double over Pirates in the league last season, which included a 1-0 victory at Orlando Stadium.
