Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United renew their rivalry in the Tshwane derby this evening at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

DStv Premiership

Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v SuperSport United

Date: 16 January 2023

Venue: Loftus Versfeld Stadium

Time: 18h00

Sundowns extended their winning run to ten matches after edging Chippa United 2-1 last Tuesday and currently top the table by 11 points.

Surprisingly enough, the Brazilians' last defeat came against SuperSport United in their first round meeting in September last year.

Matsatsantsa, meanwhile, saw their six-game unbeaten run come to an end after going down 2-1 against Golden Arrows just over a week ago.

Gavin Hunt's charges dropped down to third on the table, as a result, just two points behind second-placed Richards Bay and 13 points behind Sundowns.

Hunt will also have do without goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, Grant Margeman and Thabang Sibanyoni who are unable to play against their parent club.

The sides will be meeting for the third time this season after the Brazilians booted Matsatsantsa out of the MTN8 in the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win.

Here's how they line up:
