The Brazilians were involved in MTN8 action over the weekend as they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in their semi-final second leg to advance to the final on Saturday.
In the league, Rulani Mokwena's charges remain the only team with a perfect record this season with seven wins from seven matches.
Sundowns' last victory in the league came against Orlando Pirates seven days ago after securing a 1-0 win at Orlando Stadium.
Stellenbosch, meanwhile, were involved also involved in cup action on Sunday but their 1-0 win over Pirates was not enough to seal their spot in the final, as they bowed out on the away goal rule.
Steve Barker's side will be hoping to improve on their league form though, as they come into this evening's clash winless in their last four matches, which includes three losses.
NOTE: The start of the match has been delayed due to bad weather and will get underway at 20h05.
