Kaizer Chiefs will be eager to restore some pride when they host DStv Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday night.

Arthur Zwane's charges sit fifth on the table with, 19 points behind Sundowns, with a game in hand.

Chiefs new signing Christian Saile Basomboli will not be available, as he will only officially start training next week.

Sundowns, meanwhile, extended their winning streak to 11 matches after edging SuperSport United 1-0 in the Tshwane derby on Monday and equalled their own record they set in 2006/07 under former coach Gordon Igesund.

The Brazilians, 14 points clear at the top of the table, will set a new league record of consecutive victories if they beat Chiefs.

Sundowns have already put Chiefs to the sword this season after registering a 4-0 thrashing at Loftus Verselfd in August.
