Chiefs marched through to the round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup for the first time in three years after beating ten-man Maritzburg United 2-0 in extra-time last weekend.
Amakhosi could not win back-to-back matches in the league after they were held to a goalless draw by TS Galaxy and are currently lying fifth on the table, five points behind second-placed SuperSport United.
Arrows, meanwhile, also progressed to the last 16 in the Nedbank Cup after beating second-tier side Pretoria Callies 2-1 in extra-time.
However, Abafana Bes'thende are on a two-game losing streak in the league and will be looking to get away from the relegation scrape, as they are precariously lying 13th on the log, just a point above the drop zone.
Chiefs will be chasing a league double over Arrows after securing a 2-0 win when they reopened their league campaign on New Year's Eve.
