Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City will be fighting to finish in fourth spot on the standings in their closing DStv Premiership match on Saturday afternoon.

Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Cape Town City

Date: 20 May 2023

Venue: FNB Stadium

Time: 15h00

Chiefs will be eager to avoid a fourth straight defeat in all competitions after a narrow 1-0 loss to SuperSport United last weekend ended their hopes of at least qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Amakhosi are lying fourth on the log, two points ahead of the Citizens and need to avoid defeat to end the season in fourth spot, as they can no longer catch up with third-placed SuperSport United.

As for fifth-placed City, they sealed their spot in the top eight with a 2-0 win over Richards Bay last weekend, thanks to a brace by Khanyisa Mayo.

Mayo's brace put him level at the top of the goal-scoring charts with Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile on 12 goals and will win the golden boot award outright if he scores at least one goal, as Sundowns have already completed their season.

However, there are also four players, Bradley Grobler, Monnapule Saleng, Etiosa Ighodaro and Ranga Chivaviro all tied on ten goals, who can also cause an upset.

Eric Tinkler's charges will also finish in fourth spot ahead of Chiefs if they beat the Soweto giants.

Arthur Zwane's men have a score to settle against the Citizens after losing 2-0 in the first round clash, following goals in either half by Darwin Gonzalez and Nathan Fasika early in the season back in August last year in Cape Town.

Here's how they line up:

Kaizer Chiefs: 16. Khune, 23. Hlanti, 27. Njabulo Ngcobo, 30. Ngezana, 39. Frosler, 18. Solomons, 36. Zwane, 8. Maart, 6. Sithebe, 9. Du Preez, 21. Saile
