Chiefs lost for the second time in three league matches after a narrow 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy last weekend after an own goal by goalkeeper Brandon Petersen.
The Glamour Boys have only picked up one point in their three games and are lying 13th on the table.
Amakhosi unveiled new signing Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez on Wednesday, who will be available for selection once his paper work is completed.
AmaZulu, meanwhile, are yet to score nor concede, after drawing all their three games so far against Royal AM, SuperSport United and Richards Bay last weekend.
Usuthu, however, are just above Chiefs on the table in 12th spot with three points from as many matches.
AmaZulu got the better of Amakhosi last season, after embarrassing them 4-0 in January this year, with former Chiefs players Dumisani Zuma and Ramahlwe Mphahlele scoring along with Junior Dion and Bonginkosi Ntuli.
