SuperSport United will have a chance to climb up to second position in the DStv Premiership standings when they visit Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Teams: Chippa United v SuperSport United

Date: 26 September 2023

Venue: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium

Time: 19h30

SuperSport lost for the first team in league after a 3-0 thrashing by Golden Arrows before the international break but they bounced back with a narrow 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs a week ago.

Matsatsantsa are placed third on the table with 13 points, just a point behind second-placed Arrows and will go up to second if they clinch back-to-back wins.

Chippa, meanwhile, also went to the FIFA break on a back of a loss against Royal AM, which was their second in three games.

However, the Chilli Boys got back to winning ways after edging Richards Bay 2-1 last week.

Morgan Mammila's charges went up to seventh on the log with nine points and another win can take them up to fourth.

The sides could not be separated last season after playing to two 1-1 draws.

Ronald Pfumabidzai was the main feature, as he scored the opening goal for the Chilli Boys in the first round meeting in Tshwane but his goal was cancelled out by Bradley Grobler.

Pfumabidzai, who plays for SuperSport now, also gave Chippa the lead in the return fixture but the hosts could not get all the three points after Gamphani Lungu equalised for Matsatsantsa late in the game.
