The draw left South Africa third in Group G with one point to their name, but they know only a win will seal their spot in the last 16.
Italy, meanwhile, come into the clash a bit deflated after suffering 5-0 to group leaders Sweden last weekend.
However, the Italians can book a spot in the round of 16 with a win or draw against the South Africans.
