Thabo Matlaba Remains Positive Ahead Of Soweto Derby

Orlando Pirates captain, Thabo Matlaba has shrugged off his team's 1-0 loss against Jomo Cosmos, adding that it hasn't discouraged his team ahead of the upcoming Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs.

The defender, known affectionately as "Festival", told the Siya crew that even though his teammates don't like losing to smaller sides, his team are entirely focused on Saturday's match at the FNB stadium.

"The loss against Cosmos didn't discourage us," he said.

"It was bad to lose but as players, we sat down and looked at what had been our problem for us, losing the games we have lost."

The 28-year-old full back went on to say that he thinks his team has overcome their issues and that they are fully prepared to take on their fierce rivals.

"I think we have overcome that. It's sad but we have to move on and face Chiefs," Matlaba concluded.
