All is set for Chiefs and Pirates to come up against each other at FNB Stadium this Saturday, as both teams want to win the trophy as well as the bragging rights for their fans.

So far, during the July/August transfer window, Amakhosi have confirmed signing Zimbabwean defender Teenage Hadebe, Philani Zulu and Bhongolethu Jayiya, while Pirates have brought in Thamsanqa Sangweni, Wayne Sandilands, Musa Nyatama and Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor.

Gcaba says the rivalry between Pirates and Chiefs is the motivation to do well.

"It's always serious even though Carling Black Label is a fan's cup. We are not going out there to say we are playing a friendly. There's never a friendly game against Chiefs. We know that Chiefs and Pirates are big teams. It's always (a) rivalry. Everyone is looking for a win whether it's a friendly or not a friendly. As much as they (Chiefs) are looking for a win, we are also looking for a win," Gcaba told the media as shared on Twitter by the club's Thandi Merafe.
