Kaizer Chiefs' Reeve Frosler Reminds Orlando Pirates DSTV Premiership & CAF Confederation Cup Are Two Different Competitions

Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler has reminded Orlando Pirates that the CAF Confederation Cup and DStv Premiership are "two different things", after Amakhosi watched their rivals destroy Swazi outfit Royal Leopards 6-2 last weekend.

After beating Leopards in the Confed Cup, Pirates returned to domestic football where they played out to a goalless draw against Cape Town City in Orlando on Wednesday. They now have to take on rivals Amakhosi in the Soweto Derby, with little rest in the last seven days.

"We've watched quite a bit of Pirates. We know what they want to try to do. We know more or less what to expect from a team like Pirates. They played CAF the other day and they won convincingly, but I think we know that CAF and the league are two different things, so we've done our homework. We will go out there and do our best and try to come out with a result," full back Frosler said via the Amakhosi media department.

There is a general feeling that the Soweto Derby is not exciting right now because both teams are not in a race for the title at the moment, with Sundowns in a race of their own at the summit. Frosler, however, feels that the only reason there is no excitement is due to the lack of supporters at the stadium.

"I think the only reason why people think the derby is down is because there are no fans. If the stadiums were full, I don't think they would be saying that anymore because they would see the atmosphere," the former Bidvest Wits man said.

"The league is long. We just go out there and try get maximum points every game. You never know what could happen. We just go out there and do the best of our ability. We are not worried about what other people are doing."
