Zizou Joins EA For New Partnership

French superstar Zinedine Zidane has partnered with EA Sports for an exciting new initiative.

What's the story?

In partnership with EA Sports, Real Madrid's French legend Zidane has been named as an ambassador for gaming heavyweight's FC FUTURES program, which aims to support community football around the globe.

To announce the new partnership and initiative with EA Sports FC FUTURES programme, Zizou hosted a community training session with local children from Marseille with a close friend and former teammate making an appearance.

Zidane's EA Sports partnership

Zidane has been revealed as the EA Sports FC FUTURES ambassador. FC Future's is EA's global plan to grow football through investment in community football.

Zidane's ambassadorship was launched at the Z5 sport complex in Aix-en-Provence in Marseille for a community training session and was joined by special guest and former teammate David Beckham.

FC FUTURES will aid in funding fields, training sessions, along with coaching and development for underprivileged kids in the area.

The FC FUTURES initiative will build publicly available library of training practices, produced in five languages, that will be available later this year for young players and community coaches to view online and use for their training plans.

As stated by EA in a press release, FC FUTURES will invest in grassroots training accessories which will deliver football equipment in the form of balls, bibs, cones and wider essential equipment.

Zizou joins Ian Wright as a FC FUTURES ambassador, with the event in Marseille following up the actual launch in the UK, with the first ever FC FUTURES activation taking place with EA and the Football Foundation, the charity of The Premier League, The FA and UK Government unveiling the Rocky and Wrighty Arena at Turnham Academy in South London.

Opened by England legend Wright, the pitch will provide additional football access for youth in the area and help inspire the next generation of players.
