Expect a rough ride if you are trying to get straight into the manic action on offer in Fall Guys, are a number of server issues on day one.
Developers Mediatonic were scrambling to keep players happy as they tried to jump into their new battle royale obstacle game.
Fall Guys was launched for free on PS Plus, while it was also accessible to Steam users on launch day, 4 August 2020.
During the course of launch day, they had to switch off matchmaking at a point due to the number of players trying to access the game.
However, some players were frustrated by the issues, and turned their attention to posting up bad reviews.
"We're currently being review-bombed on Steam... We're working really hard to get running smoothly for SO MANY players! We know it's super frustrating, but if you could hold off from negatively reviewing - Until you get chance to play the game, it would really help us out," they posted in a Tweet.
Later on, another tweet stated that players had been posting up positive reviews to counteract the review bombing, but server issues continue to persist on day two.
Server problems are not uncommon with launches of new titles, especially games that get the media coverage that Fall Guys has. However, the developers are confident that they can iron out the kinks and are already discussing what's coming next in terms of content.
"You're probably all wondering... What's next for Fall Guys? Well, we're going to be releasing new levels, new costumes, and new features," they tweeted.
If you subscribe to PlayStation Plus, then Fall Guys is available as one of the free games for the remainder of August 2020.
