Goliath Gaming's historic FIFAe CWC run
SA gaming stars Julio Bianchi and Kaylan Moodley defied all odds at the recent FIFAe Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, making it past the group stages to the knockout rounds.
GG made it out of a tough Group C that featured eventual champions RBLZ Gaming - RB Liepzig, AFC Ajax Brazil, Dux America, Riders x Atletico Madrid and SPQR Academy.
Bianchi and Moodley's efforts saw GG finish third in the group on 12 points behind Liepzig and Ajax, with a record of three wins, three draws and four defeats, which was enough to see them qualify for the Round of 16 on goal difference.
They went on to upset xRaptors Twisted Minds 4-3 on aggregate and made it to the last eight where they fell to Napoli eSports 4-0 on aggregate.
