Popular first-person shooter, Crysis, has suffered a delay after a leaked version of the reveal trailer drew criticism from fans.
Developers Crytek had been planning the reveal of the remastered game but after the video leaked early on YouTube, fans were not all that impressed.
The developers swiftly took to their official Twitter account to provide a statement for fans, saying, "Your passion for the Crysis franchise deserves an undeniably high-quality game and we are committed to delivering just that. To ensure that we meet that commitment, we will need to delay the launch date (all platforms) and trailer premier by a few weeks.
"This extra time until release will allow us to get Crysis Remastersup to the PC- and console-breaking standard you've come to expect from Crysis games. We hope you understand what we're up to — and that you stay with us while we take the time to make a few more improvements."
Crysis originally released on PC back in 2007 and was lauded for it's incredible visuals and detail. Two sequels then followed, and the remaster is due to launch on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
