One of EA SPORTS' flagship sports games, Madden NFL 21, has been review bombed on Metacritic.
The annual sports game, which offers an authentic American football experience, released to mixed reviews from game critics.
However, fans have not been as polite, with an avalanche of bad reviews on Metacritic which has taken the game's overall user review score to 0.3/10.
This is the lowest all-time score for a video game on Metacritic, and fans even started the hashtag #NFLDropEA as they push to have another developer get the NFL license.
Angry fans have suggested that EA have gotten lazy with the annual title due to lack of competition in the sport. The game has also launched with a number of bugs, which has been common in recent releases.
EA have reacted to the game's poor reception, promising a series of updates to address bugs and improve the features that have come under scrutiny since launch.
