A prominent South African club preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup is understood to be securing the future of yet another player, adding to their roster of long-term commitments as they continue building for sustained success.
After previously reporting on Aubrey Modiba and Marcelo Allende's situations at Mamelodi Sundowns, this prestigious outfit is now close to extending the contract of an experienced defender who has been instrumental to their backline.

Reliable sources at the club have indicated that the Betway Premiership champions are believed to be extending Mosa Lebusa's contract for one-year and with another one-year option until June 2027.
"What I can say is that the deal is as good as done. It has to be done before the club leaves for the Club World Cup after the Champions League finals. Yes, it's believed to be a one-year extension that has another one-year option. Apparently the talks have been going on for some time now but the involved parties have reached an agreement for the new deal," the Siya source stated.
Meanwhile, a second insider stated that before the arrival of coach Miguel Cardoso, the former Ajax Cape Town defender was not sure of his future, but the mentor has played a significant role in him staying at Chloorkop.

"At one point they were believed to be looking at loaning him. There was another time when apparently they were about to release him but coach Cardoso believes in him and that's why his presence has contributed to the extension of Mosa's contract for at least a year and another one-year option," the second source told the Siya crew.
The 32-year-old joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018, and his initial contract is expiring in June this year, but now the club has apparently tied him down again.
This season Lebusa has featured in many Betway Premiership games for the club, most under coach Cardoso. Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns to comment on the situation but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
