Bayern Munich have won the eFootball.Pro Cup after beating FC Barcelona 2-0 in the final.
The event started on 18 July 2020, and over the last two weeks of intense group stage action, the participating 10 teams were cut to four.
Barca, Bayern, Manchester United and Juventus progressed from the group stages. The Old Lady came close to putting Bayern out with their semi-final needing a tie-break match, which Bayern won 1-0, while in the other semi-final Barca beat United 2-0 on aggregate.
"I think this year we were the best of the league, so we wanted to show the world that. We did amazing work behind it." MESTRE said, following the victory.
The eFootball.Pro Cup also presented fans that chance to see some of the tactics and gameplay they can expect from the pros in the future.
The tournament featured a prize pool of €250,000 (over R5 million) in prize money and had players representing some of the world's top clubs.
