The Group Stages of the Soccer Laduma League, powered by Puma, have come to a close and there have been some incredible surprises in the build-up to the Grand Finals.
Last season, two Orlando Pirates eSports stars dominated in the Premier and Legends Leagues, which saw them go head-to-head in the top division this time around.
However, the duo found it tough going in the group stages, and only Pirates_Zaid, who topped the Premier Division last time around, made it through to the Grand Finals event.
Last season's winner, Pirates_Ubaid, was unable to complete his 15 games, forfeiting nine, which left him in 10th place.
DarthMayhem was the standout in the Legends League, racking up 36 points, and finishing above Pavendren, who had the same amount of points but a lower goal difference. DarthMayhem also scored the most goals in the stage, with 51 strikes.
It has set up an intriguing line-up for the Grand finals, where the players will fight for a R10 000 prize pool:
The Premier League was tight at the top, with the top three, Zuhayr, Magic and NkosanaM all finishing with 39 points but separated by goal difference.
The quarter-final line-up for the Premier League, where R10 000 worth of Puma gear is up for grabs, is as follows:
