The Siya crew has learnt that there has been a mass clear-out at one of the Premier Soccer League sides due to unpaid bonuses.
Siya sources have revealed that Thabiso Nkoana, Vincent Sithole and Pogiso Mahlangu have parted ways with GladAfrica outfit Pretoria Callies, while Itumeleng Lesu, Thabo Moloi and Aupa Moeketsi could follow them on their way out.
This comes after the players voiced their displeasure with the decision of Chairman Moses Malada to renege on his promise to reward the players for reaching the Nedbank Cup last four.
The club is understood to have pocketed R1m for reaching the semi-finals of the competition.
According to the source, the players had been promised a paltry R1000 each for their achievement, however, the club has failed to pay the players.
"The players were so unhappy that they did not get their money, there are many of them who could even leave because they feel betrayed by the club's management," the source revealed.
Attempts by the Siya crew to contact Callies' management proved futile at the time of publishing.
It now remains to be seen how coach Joel Masutha navigates trying to gain promotion with a disgruntled squad who could see more exits in the coming days.
